  • it would be nice, but it ain't going to happen. Even if it happens in other countries, not happening here. No national healthcare here. No free education here. Bernie Sanders didn't get elected right? if you can't compete, because you can't eat, or ur "weak" (i.e., sick, elderly, or disabled) and don't have health care which many Americans now no longer have under the current regime, or u don't have the money for an education w/o playing Russian roulette with your life by becoming a soldier, (which rich people like "Bone Spur" Donald and his progeny willnever have to do) then you don't have much of a shot at what used to be called the"American Dream", unless you're willing to break laws and do something illegal but remunerative. It's all very Darwinian, but hey, welcome to 'merca.

  • The government does provide education to all citizens. At least here in the United States it offers free K-12 education. In many countries the government does NOT provide free education. So we are lucky here. But I would like to see that expanded to college.

I think our taxes should fund our health insurance as well to keep Americans healthy and secure with insurance. However, while I do support government FUNDED healthcare, I'd like the govt. to stay out of health care decisions (like in the U.K. where the government can make decisions for people). I'd like a system like Canada, where people have choice and freedom in health care but it's free.

As for food, that seems a bit far. We have to work for some stuff, no? Food isn't insanely expensive here like health care is anyways
